Just Do
A plain task list for the day, with a place to add the next task and an easy return to your own arrangement.
Just Do gives you a plain task list for the day. It suits the moments when you want to see what needs doing and get started, without arranging the rest of your planner first.
What changes
The page contains Tasks and New Task, with every other section hidden. Because Tasks is the only section left, it goes without its heading: the list is the page. On iPhone, Daily is the only tab, and the tab bar goes away with it; iPad and Mac keep their sidebar. Calendar bookmarks, the timestrip, and its event pills are off, so the page can use the space along the right edge. There is no daily task limit.
The New Task line is the compact one from Layout: there is no bar under the field, so the line is a single row. Tap its checkbox to choose between a task, reminder, event, or heading, and type a time into the text if you want one.
Tasks with a time don't disappear with the Scheduled section. They sit at the top of the list, earliest first, each still showing its time. Calendar events are the one thing that leaves with Scheduled.
Your calendar, notes, lists, and other content remain in Finalist. On iPhone the app menu lists Daily and the hidden sections, so there's always a way back, and your own arrangement is one tap away whenever you need it.
Try Just Do
Open Layout, choose Kits, and find Just Do on the shelf beneath your desk. Drag it onto the book, or tap Use kit. The kit clips in as the book's first page, and the Daily page changes behind it. Flip the page and you'll find the back cover, since Just Do turns every other tab off.
Just Do applies on this device, including its narrow and wide layouts. Your own arrangement stays protected as My setup. To remove Just Do, open Customize, go to Kits, and tap Return to My setup on the desk. That works even after trying another kit or restarting the app. Tasks you added or completed stay that way.
You can adjust Just Do in Customize while it's on the desk. Switch kits or return and it goes back to how it came, so tap Save as Kit to keep your version. If you want it as your everyday arrangement, choose Make this My setup on the desk.
