Sync & Devices
iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro, and how each platform differs.
One planner, everywhere. Finalist is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro, and your data follows you across all of them.
How sync works
Your tasks, habits, lists, and journal sync across your Apple devices via iCloud. Add a task on your iPhone during the commute, see it on your Mac at work. No account to create, no third-party server. It's your iCloud.
Reminders and calendar events work slightly differently: they sync through your Apple account on-device (the same way the Reminders and Calendar apps do), so they're available even on devices without Finalist.
Platform differences
Each device shows Finalist optimized for its screen:
- iPhone: quick capture and on-the-go planning, with Dynamic Island countdowns
- iPad: planning sessions with sidebar and split views
- Mac: focused work, keyboard shortcuts, and menu bar integration
- Vision Pro: immersive planning with spatial layouts
Start on one device, finish on another. Your planner is the same everywhere.
